If anyone still had any doubts about the success of IPL, it would have disappeared if he had been at the Dr. D.Y.Patil Stadium in Mumbai today to see the match between Mumbai Indians & Delhi Dare Devils. The enthusiasm of the crowd, the support for the home team was unmatched. Even a single was cheered by loud drums and horns and what not. There were people I saw who didn't even know the rules of cricket. They were probably watching a match for the first match. The IPL, however, has been able to attract such crowd also. Crowds dancing with the music, the bands playing after every shot, the Mexican wave doing rounds, everything was just awesome. What helped of course is that the Indians won the match.
Cricket has always been a huge craze in India. However when the teams playing are the cities of India, the crowd attachment was always doubtful. We have seen the crowd's response to all the matches. However, if anyone still had any doubts, I would suggest him to go and see just one match live at the stadium.

more so coz MIs not winning matches (till that match)...

Genius crowd...they knew it in advance that MIs gonna beat 3Ds...
The cheers became louder as the match progressed SP. The initial cheers was the usual excitement of the crowd.
