T20 was started with the idea of cricket consuming less time. So that people could finish their day's work and still watch a complete match at night. But then the word 'short' should have some boundaries. To reduce a 20 over match to 14 and then again reducing it to 12?? What's the minimum number of overs required to have a valid T20 match?
Also when a match is already reduced because of rain, why do we need the tactical break? What's strategy gotta do in 12 overs? Isn't slam-bang the only way to go?
I have had enough

10 Strokes:
spot on. giving away this break would get in 3 more overs by spinners and 2 by fast bowlers. so still it cud have been 14 or 15 over game....
but then the willpower shud be there.
Its all about the money dude!
crazy to have such a long strategy break for a rain shortened game.
Yes RS, Its absolutely crazy.. So much for the money???
Tri,
It cannot always be slam and bang.Umm! some refinement needs to be shown.:)
Otts,
Its only 12 overs.. Its like the gully ka matches that we used to play.. You go out and start hitting.. Whats there to think.. Even Viru & Gauti are doing that.. But then the rain has come again :(
the strategy Tri, is the fact that ads can still be squeezed in, no matter how short the match!
Exactly Ankit... Thats the saddest part... to see Cricket going down for money.
erm..though after watching the first match of the season..I wonder if T10 would be a good idea..?:P
D,
Welcome to Crickosphere... Well T10 wud be too short a game.. It will be gully cricket like we used to play when we were kids...
